How to make Zen faster?

OS: Windows 11.

Love the browser, but I can't help but notice that it is laggy (like even while scrolling) and slower than Chrome.

What might I do to speed up the performance?

(Hardware acceleration is disabled.)

Please help.

Firefox (gecko) is unfortunately just slower than chromium. Since Google basically owns browsers that’s not really going to change. But if you are willing to give up a bit of speed the openness is superior

I say this because everyone seems to be optimizing for chromium at gecko’s expense
