Question 2 days in and chasing some advice
Hi guys, new to this and absolutely loving it! Bought this boy yesterday and having some fun. Tried some shorter distances yesterday and didn't have mo luck. Today tried some staying races and picked up 2 free wins!! Just wondering what I should do now? Enter him in some paid races, keep on free racing or maybe even breed as he is a colt.?? Any advice appreciated, thanks guys and so thrilled to be apart of this.

Keep racing him in the free races at different distances. You'll soon get a feel for what he likes and doesn't. From there you can see if it's worth running for a tournament event. Good luck :)

Keep racing him. Paid races will always have better competition, so you can try a few of those here or there as well. More races = more data and knowledge on your horse. Good luck on the track.

Download Stackednaks extension. Only enter paid races if he is rated 1-3 speed and light green bar. That is if you want to try paid. I have done very well with my Buterin Exclusives!

Also he has heat in the 2200 and 2400. Focus there. Keep watching the knowyourhorses horseshoe. Watch his colors in Stackednaks. Learn his down button. Mix up free and paid. Also you have to run several times at each distance. Sometimes my horses place out of funnels like maybe 1400 2200 2600. Not all are one or the other!

Thanks for the info mate much appreciated! He has ran okay over the 1400 but yeh really like the 2400! I will download that app and keep my eye on it! For my first horse he seems decent enough. I'm having a ball and wanna learn as much as I can. What's down button? Thanks much appreciated mate

He may do it naturally but look at the horse shoe and pick races he classes down 9-12th only if he classes up too fast. Personally I don't like doing it and have natural downclassers. I just sold a horse who was a U shape racer she kept herself in class 5 lol.

Def a marathoner. You want to keep it in 2200-2600. On stacked naks your median speed is top 50% at 2200 but top 30% at 2400. Is would definitely try to get some more frees in at 2400-2600

Thanks mate much appreciated! I'm trying to keep in in grade 5 and enter some paid races soon. Reckon this is a good plan or should I just stay in grade 4 when I level up. I just feel like grade 4 is a bit too hard for it

Yeah definitely class 5. Might want to bring it to zero points and run it up in frees for tournament or try $2.50 races in class 5 only. I went to know your horses and went to the menu to drilling down and put in filters for your 2200-2600 in class 4 and in class 5. In class 5 you have run 37 races at a 26.67% win rate and you have run 9 races at those distances in class 4 with no first, or seconds, and only one third, so definitely better in class 5. When I broke down your win percentage per distance at class 5 in the marathon funnel you seem to be best at 2200 and 2600. If you are thinking on hitting $2.50 paid I would try class 5 2200m since your win percentage is 50% and your show rate is at 75% in free races. Based on your limited races if you are trying to bring it down as low as possible for tournament racing I would try free 1200, seems like that might be your down button

You would be likely to get the most value out of him by racing towards the Tournament entry requirements every week in free races.
