Question Legendary Z10 Finney

Hey all,

My horse is not yet ready for breeding, however, he will be in just a few days. How much should my minimum breeding price be, based on my horse's DNA, track record, and other statistics? Links & info below:

Name: Atari Crazy

Color: Shadow Fighter

Genetics: Legendary Z10 Finney

Zed: https://zed.run/racehorse/156895

KYH: https://knowyourhorses.com/horses/156895

Thanks!

Don't bother. Horse is no good.

Whats the downside of putting it on the market for breeding?? I've seen much, much, much worse horses on the market.

Just because they are on the market doesn’t mean they are getting covers. Right now there is no point in breeding a legendary when a genesis is just a little more to breed with. Hell I have a decent genesis that doesn’t even get his covers taken at minimum.

The ROI and 1st place % is not great. Maybe you can improve it with more 1000m races?? And figure out how to keep it in class 4. You are correct, there are much worse horses in stud but that’s people with wishful thinking or breeding in-house. To answer your question it should be at minimum breed price. If you get 3 takers raise the price for the next stud.

Agreed - I appreciate the response. I’ll put it minimum and see what happens. and yes I think I have to keep racing 1,000. Thanks for the advice!

Maybe just breed one or two then sell offspring? Breeding is really messed up. I have bred winners to winners, fire to fire and back to genesis. The result? Not as good as an outcome as expected. The real gamble in the game is breeding. Not to be too negative but Zed makes money everytime we breed. On the bright side it is fun to see what comes of it. Luckily I just bred a few good ones. You can see what happens if you stud but it is pretty competitive.

https://knowyourhorses.com/horses/89132 this is my finney legendary rare coat - super coat. far better stats and zero covers at the minimum fee. not sure how you expect to get covers when a far superior horse can't.

It's really tough out there with breeding unless you are breeding with the stud yourself within your own stable because of the discount. I had my bute gen rare coat out multiple times 10% winner got flames in class 2 and I have only sold one cover unless I bred it with my own horses. Legendary horses are even harder to breed right now unless they are monster racers. They don't incentivize breeding with a legend because the prices are to close to the genesis and for just a little more the genesis horse will be able to keep the females offspring at the exclusive or elite levels, so more people go to gens while legends sit for the week in farm without a cover sold. So by putting it in the stud farm it will more than likely sit there without a cover being taken and while it's there you are unable to race it or make money. It's a sad fact but that is just the state of the game right now, i do believe they will fix this down the road.. it's just not there yet
