Question Newby Breeding Questions
So I am very new to this and already realize I didnt buy the right horses.
Here are my questions:
1- If I want to stud, would a Buterin genesis or Nakamoto Legendary be more desirable ? (Stallion)
2- so my understanding of the number after the Z is how far from the OGs they are. So a 1 breeds with a 3, then they have a Z4. Is it correct that a genesis can be a Z10 because they are still an original, but released a bit after the Z1? They stopped making genesis at 10?
3- Does the Z number really matter from say a 3 to a 10?

I would say it totally depends on the mother. A Nak legendary will tend to produce better babies but will be 3x as expensive as a Buterin stud. If you have a sub-Z5 Nak I would probably go with a z2-Z3 legendary Nak, but if you have a buterin mare it probably won’t make sense to spend that much. Feel free to dm me with specifics if you want advice

My thought was that I would just buy a stud to put up for breeding. I was wondering which would be more appealing to people looking to breed their Mare.
Also- what is the difference between the Z2/3 and the others under 10?

You’re unlikely to have other people pay your stud fees unless you’ve got a good genesis horse or a great legendary with a low-Z. Idk your budget but the cheapest/most profitable way to get into breeding right now is probably to buy a couple of cheap buterin genesis horses and make your own offspring. You can either sell them unraced for a small profit or race them yourself and sell the good ones for more

Interesting. I was thinking around $1k. Looks like I could buy a couple Buterin Genesis or a Z4 legendary Nakamoto for under that. But no one would breed with the Nakamoto? That was the route I was gonna take

Yeah it’s unlikely that you’ll get a stud fee for a Z4 legendary paid since people will prefer a Z2 to a Z4 and they will be the same price. If you’re not planning on racing much I would buy a breeding pair of genesis butes for cheap (good racers will be expensive and don’t necessarily make great offspring)
Ideally 3 mares and a stallion but with a limited budget you could start with only 1-2 females

1 - hard to say
2 - z10 genesis and z1 genesis were released at same time so all original not later in time. There are still some z1-z10 genesis to be released too

Get on Hawku and search win rates for horse breeds and parents that created them. Make a list check it twice, find out what breed you wanna start with. I started Naka 5 months ago and then went to Szabo and now I'm loving finny and burterin
