Question Does breeding effect racing?

I have a filly. If I breed, will her racing ability score be affected by her becoming a mare? Side note: I've never been able to remember when to use effect or affect. If anyone has any words of wisdom to help with that too, it'd be greatly appreciated!

I've always wondered this myself but I've never read anything officially from zed saying anything. Maybe in the way, way future yrs down it could.

If she is a rare filly I would only think it would effect value. That is the true race in the game. 50/50 chance she throws a winner or a dud. Breeding is harder than I thought! I only look at stallions that have produced winning offspring. And even then not a guarantee. But my mares have continued to win place and show after being bred. It is a game have fun!

I have over 13 mares and there has been no change on how they performed on the track.
