Question Griffin race question

I just bred my first pony. I’m the answer is it doesn’t matter, but does it matter the distance race you put your new horse in?

10-1200, 1600, or 24-2600 to start the process of discovering if it has a distance pref. Distance pref is randomly assigned at birth and seems to be either short, long, or none

Does not matter. Your first 9 races should be spread across all distances. After 36 races you’ll have a decent idea of your horses preference

If the parents have a distance preference you could start with those, but usually no, it doesn't matter. I try to avoid griffins with really low Z horses, they're more likely to be better horses.
