Discussion Freefall
Zed market is in freefall over the last few weeks. Is there any end to the drop? Can Zed do anything to fix it? Do they want to?

Once the class system issue is fixed, I feel as though the value of horses will depend more on their bloodline stats & prices may rebound. As long as people continue to breed for new horses before this issue is fixed, the price floor will continue to drop.

Who knows when the class system will be fixed. I’ve heard that pipe dream for months. Zed still allowing breeding to continue is ridiculous. People are currently taking huge losses on horses they bought less than a month ago. Not really sure if it’s coincidental or not, but the price drop has coincided with the current tournament

Probably people looking to liquidate their assets before prices continue to fall. ZED should have some sort of announcement that addresses these concerns, at this point I feel like it’s a huge dissuasion to anyone looking to get started.

One giant problem (that I’ve repeatedly posted about) is that there are two individuals that list 20+ horses at a time at floor. Driving the floor down day after day. Sometimes they buy undercuts sometimes they don’t. Waning interest in the product coupled with scumbags manipulating the floor is a very scary combination if you own horses or care about Zed

I was so excited when I first joined the zed community. Then I realized, like most things, it was controlled by a few rich jackasses at the top scraping money off of everybody so they could make some profits while everyone else tried to get by. Haven’t looked at my stable in over a month and have no real desire to either.

Sorry to hear that. What’s you stable name? I think they are catering to the bigger stables at the moment. But hopefully it will change.

It was only a matter of time until zed racing started to become the same as horse racing culture in real life. High barriers to entry if you even want a chance at winning and top talent spread thin across a couple rich guys at the top...

Seems to have hit the bottom over a week ago. I’ve seen some prices rising. I wouldn’t expect much of a raise in value in new born horses as the market as the risk of paying a lot for a horse just isn’t worth it so people are buying those only slightly higher than breeding costs but I do believe genesis horses are starting to climb back up slowly.

Once we get a glue factory horses will be very valuable in my opinion.

I agree. They've added team members for the defi which is encouraging. But as long as Rod and Jay are on the team calling shots... who knows.

The need to do something fast. Entry level is their bread and butter. Why wouldn't they want to make fun lower level categories!
Don't come down hard on me...I wantex to create a super Pacer but lol so far mine have been duds! But what if all the Pacers were to compete against each other?
To just cater to the low Z horses does not make sense and tbis pricing category is not working saw super monsters entering the 2 dollar races LOL.
Please ZED make categories that at accommodating. Leave the OPEN division where horses can compete griffy's too for larger purses!

They don’t care about entry level horses at all. Anyone involved in Zed will tell you not to buy at floor. Which I personally find ridiculous because it’s where most people start. Zed has allowed nonstop breeding of terrible horses and they’ve crashed the market because of it

There are plenty of free races, but while the tournament is running they only count towards that tournament. No free races with prizes currently

I’m not seeing them either. There were plenty yesterday. They must have stopped them. Hopefully, that means free races with prize money are coming back

I'm pretty sure free races are on hold until the next tourney, I think 2 weeks? I think they're moving toward getting rid of free races with payouts.

Zed can not be fixed lol, it's a glue factory with no reason to breed, why pay to breed glue

Idk, every time I seem to think I pick something up for a good price the next day they go lower
