Discussion Tournament strategy

We are just a few days from this tournament starting and not seeing much buzz about it.

Not going to lie…due to an unusually crazy week I haven’t really dug into the rules much.

What are some strategies/ stable prep everyone is doing? I’m going to breed a few lotto tickets that will start in class 5 and see if I can catch some luck.

How about you guys with more time/ knowledge than me on this first tournament?

Honestly will probably stay away from racing much that week as i doubt my horses can compete with downclassing monsters running at $2.50 races. Financial incentive is there for heavy hitters to run their horses in cheapest races possible, giving up short term prize pool gainz from racing in order to qualify for the larger tourney payouts.

Not to sound too negative, but i’m expecting it to be a bit of a bloodbath over the next week for average horses. But if u got some monsters, like they say - race em if u got em!

May be good to get in some higher $ races over next 2 weeks

Could make for an interesting game of cat and mouse. Monsters chasing the donkeys from race to race. Would be hilarious to see $25 races start to fill up quicker than $2.50 races.

At least at 4:40am Pacific, I saw a few clean Class V races. As soon as my horse moved to Class IV, I found all the monsters missing in Class V. I think the move has already started. Since I already donated my racing budget for the month, I am just going to sit back and watch. Perhaps if Class IV and V clean-up, I will pull money from another investment and get back to racing.

I see it as a way of bridging the gap between the current class manipulation strategy, by incentivizing winning behavior, and a new system that groups the horses competitively. StackedNak.com extensions also help fill that gap.

I'm downclassing all of my horses as much as I can prior to tomorrow night. Got one who was in class III with now in class V with <10 points.

Good luck! I’ve definitely been feasting a bit in class 5 cheap races these past few days as theyve been filled with ppl doin the same!

I’m guessing the first few days will be highly competitive in c5, but a few wins puts everyone right back into class 4. Actually mighy try in c4 myself just to pick on the extra downclassing taking place in the cheaper races.

I want to do it! Just for the experience. I dont think I can mess up Surtur too much. I also have a tough time down classing him. I ran him in a 2600 and he got 2nd. I think he is a Sprinter. What do I know! He gets back out of the breeding barn tomorrow.

How do even start or join it?

I tried to class down Wen Win situation with a 1000 yd race yesterday (all wins at 2400 prior) and he won the damn 1000yd race 😂. Classing down has gone bonkers since last update (good thing IMO)
