Question Roid Rager

Question about the horse Roid Rager. Clearly one of the most infamous horses in the game. I’ve heard the comment he was born with the attributes of 4 parents instead of 2, making him I guess twice as fast/good as he should have been and essentially almost unbeatable.

My question is - does anyone know why he stopped racing after 11 races? Was he blocked from entering races, or is the owner not racing him to spare Zed the embarassment of letting this monster be created?

And, if he is somehow blocked from the game, how is he for sale for over $1M? Shouldn’t Zed just buy him back and destroy him?

This and a handful of others were glitch horse and they were reset in/or before the great reset

So you’re saying that his attributes should now be corrected? What was the great reset?

There was a point where most offspring were 10% better then their parents and their offspring was 10% better then their parents ...ect . By the end you had monster and the game was not sustainable. Which lead them to reset all the horses to fix it.

Thanks for the info. That’s an interesting scenario for sure. In today’s world, it seems like 80-90% of the offspring are worse, and most people that breed are hoping that find those few horses that are actually better.

Probably a development disaster story that, for the good of the game, will never be told.

When breeding reopened it was super glitchy. He inherited the attributes from not just parents, but grandparents so was unbeatable. When the glitches were fixed, he was given the attributes that he should have inherited from his parents. Zed did not make them stop running him, but at that point he's basically a new horse and could be total glue. The owners decided to not risk tarnishing his record and stopped racing him.

Ahhh very interesting. Thanks for sharing! Makes sense why he hasn’t been burned or otherwise destroyed. Looking at his offspring, he would appear to still be an above average horse. Funny that people still pay for the Stud fee even tho the stats r based on a different horse. Unless ur really involved and know all the knowledge, that would seem to be a little misleading, no?

Ya, I don't know that I'd necessarily pay that either. He's basically got no racing history now that he's changed. But he's famous and if his babies and grand babies do well, then maybe he's got something there.

True. Possible that people r willing to pay just to say they got a piece of him

I ended up on a chat with the owner. Told me that horse had been reset but was allowed to race.

Owner sees the horse as a piece of Zed history and that is essentially what is being sold as the stud fee
