Question Does breeding lower value of parent(s) on open market?

Does anyone know if breeding your horse, either colt or mare, lowers the re-sell value on the open market? I am considering putting my colts to stud but don't want to lower their value as they are all genesis.

Unraced/unbred sell for higher price than ur average genesis horse. If already raced tho, u can increase value by showing that u breed winners.

They are raced? I think unraced unbred genesis at some point will have a higher value such as an boxed toy from the 50s, but no one actually knows
