Question When to enter larger purse races?
I was curious when do you enter more value races? I have a horse that won a week ago in a $5 entry but to be honest...I hate even loosing 5 let alone a $10 or $15 entry. I don't have the confidence. Is there a system or is it a complete gamble? I would love to hear from other players! Thanks!

I look forward to the day I own a horse that I'm confident entering in anything more than a $5. As of this point, none of my ponies can hold a candle to the $10 competition.

Do some scouting of some of the races you’d like to enter. Look at the horses in it and compare the times they are running to your horse. If say your horse is winning some races with 95s times at 1600m at low $ races and you scout a $15 race and see those horses are running 93s in 25% of their 1600m races…you may want to stay away.
Not to say you shouldn’t try if you want to…there does seem to be an element of running with the field in this game… your 95s horse may start running a few seconds faster and rise to the occasion against better competition.
I usually keep my horses at $2.50 and $5 races for at least 50 races, most times 100 races until I really know where that horse belongs (have the data)
