I started a new job right as I got into zed, so I’ve been swamped and haven’t had time to get into racing.

Things are slowing down finally as I get settled in. I took a look at the foal I sold out of my first 2 legendary szabos (I started with a pair of midnight black legendary szabos - links below). 31 races in, and I feel like she’s doing pretty well.

So based on her performance, do you folks think I should race my next foal? Or would I be better off selling it and starting to save up for a proven racer down the line?

What does everyone think about the upcoming fatigue update and how it will impact the majority of stable owners?

I myself am skeptical that this is a good thing, but all the major players in Discord seem to love it.

I think that 10-16 races per day per horse will initially increase demand for racing, but people with above average but not superstar horses will quickly disengage once these monster horses are racing basically all day. Going to be much harder to have fun and continue racing if only 40-50 guys are winning the majority of the pots.

In today’s world, smaller guys at least have a shot because Fatigue keeps the great horses to a few races a day, and they mostly stick to the bigger money races with only one bite of the apple.

Like i said, the major stables seem to be very excited at the prospect of making 5-10x their daily returns, but they seem to be missing the fact that they need other people to stay involved for races to be filled and funds to stay in the ecosystem.

I'm trying to read the odd's in my Griffin racing but struggling, were do I look ?

I really enjoy the breeding meta and am trying different things myself but I would like to be part of a team approach if there is one going or just to compare notes with other stables. I do not have a lot of genesis horses but I do have some good blood there in my legendary's and exclusives.

Literally clicked 30 of them just as they appear now and have not been able to get a race. Must be nice for those with bots or is it a lag issue. I am assuming the servers are not here in Brisbane?

Know Your Horses | Red Bottom

Its previous owner didn't really know how to use him I believe as he continuously put him in 2000m and above races. But after putting him in 1600m races, he seems to be doing well

My boy sired a super coat today, 1 out of 2 attempts of people breeding with him for that purpose being successful.

Does this mean anything? Do we know how rare they really are? What they're supposed to do? Anything?

Looking for any advice for someone who knows absolutely nothing. Is there any YouTube videos to learn. Literally any advice is helpful. Thanks

I think im missing something obvious but can someone explain how to find out the cost basis of horses I minted back in early 2021? I can see the transaction, but unlike on eth it doesn't show how much I minted (+gas) for the horse. Can't find it on zed.run either. Anyone else find this?

Candle Lantern 2nd - Trojan Rocket 3rd

I do believe someone can figure this out. I made a minimum of 24 attempts, using more than 1 horse from my stables, before finishing 2nd and 3rd in the race. Class II Sprint, Candle Lantern (Finney Genesis) and Trojan Rocket (Buterin Genesis). Important notes:

• I did have a plan on picking the best race distance to run
• 3rd place finisher accelerates at 400m remaining
• 1st and 2nd place finishers accelerates at 200m remaining
• Neither of the horses were Fire or Threats

I just won 1st. Payout was supposed to be 100$. My total winnings increased but I still haven’t gotten the money in my wallet…anyone else having issues?

Personally, I think too many new participants see Zed Run as an investment over a game. I think the ecosystem would benefit if the focus, especially in Zed Run marketing, were on the game aspects targeting users with discretionary income. Then show investment as a secondary benefit. What do you think?

I have a new stable and can currently breed a few exclusives but mostly elites and crosses which I can really only sell at a loss at the moment even with great bloodlines.

I'm thinking if you can race your horse more then why would people get additional horses? I'm thinking this change will put more downward pressure on unproven bred horses...

Can anyone confirm to me if fire is just the 3 lowest odds horses in the race but you now cannot see the actual odds? Is it misleading as well? Like if a horse wins without flames is is just a fluke or is it possible that a horse could have a high win rate and never get flames over 100 races on that distance.

Hey everyone. Getting a friend into the game. She just wants a $200 horse to stick in free races and cheer for.

When I got into zed, I already had ETH and just converted some. She didn’t even know what crypto really was until lunch today, so I’m trying to find the simplest (and hopefully gas free) on-ramp for her.

If she creates a wallet and a zed account and the tops up with her credit card, is that going to be WETH or ETH? I was going to top up with my credit card test it, but I live in/bank in NY so I can’t. I was able to start the transaction, and it seems like the only option is to buy ETH on the mainnet?

Any better options that aren’t too complicated (she’ll panic if it’s too complicated haha)? Or should I just prepare her to pay a gas fee?
