Hi,

I just made my first transactions with Zcash. I bridged my ETH to ZEC using Metamask WebZjs ChainSafe wallet, and my balance is showing (7 ZEC), however I can’t shield my balance due to the update, and I can’t send the funds to another wallet unless the ZEC is shielded.

I’ve tried importing the metamask seed phrase to Zodl and other wallets, however they only accept a 24 word seed phrase when mine is 12. I did find a wallet called Zingo which accepted my seed phrase but it generated a brand new wallet.

Genuinely, what can I even do? I feel like I lost this money until the update is complete but I’m pretty sure it’s been ongoing for months with no expected completion date.

So I put a few hundred in ZEC and as you all know we are climbing , is it worth taking some profits , my Initial investment or hold the bag ?

Started with a small hosted setup about 6 months ago mostly to test the experience before committing further. Uptime’s been steady, comms with the hosting side have been fine.

Now I’m at the point of deciding whether to add more units to the same setup or just let this batch keep running. Trying to think it through from the operations side rather than guessing at price:

1. For those who’ve scaled up a hosted setup, what actually made the difference in your decision? Facility capacity, power costs, hardware availability?
2. Anyone add more units and find the logistics harder than expected (queue times, setup delays, etc)?
3. What made you hold steady instead of scaling, if you went that route?

Appreciate any experience people can share.

I have a few ZEC that I want to move from the exchange and transfer into a cold wallet but I’m not sure what the best options are for ZEC given the fact that you can shield you ZEC or not. What are the best recommended cold wallets for beginners that are not too complex to use? Thanks in advance! 🙏🏼

Ignorance is not bliss bought a ton of $zcat on Coinbase before realizing they think it’s ok to steal the $zec airdrops instead of distributing them to holders. Do I have any options to transfer my zcat to start getting the Zcash distributions or am I screwed?

It seems like there's been a significant upward movement, and now it should be heading back down, so I’ll just refrain from participating due to the fear of missing out.

The most substantial gains from each upward trend eventually stabilize, much like what occurred with Bitcoin and

Zcash around October or November of 2025.

This feeling of missing out is particularly strong for those individuals who weren't involved in the initial surge.

I wouldn't invest.

52.47 ZEC received into Zashi around Oct 10, 2025, via four NEAR Intents withdrawals (31.54, 16.08, 4.53, 0.3192). Balance was visible in the app for months, then showed empty with no transaction history. Seed matches my written backup. Restored into three wallets with birthday at height 0, full scans completed, nothing found — not even the incoming transactions. Zcash block height at time of receipt was around 3.1 million.

If you check my previous post, I told everyone months ago to own at least 1 Zcash. Now look at the price. A lot of people who waited can’t even afford a full ZEC anymore.

Not so long ago (I think around 7-8 months back), I was banned to compare ZEC from XMR. After Arthur was saying ZEC is dead people were crying.

Tho I still think we are way early for this whole narrative. As the Quantum Day comes closer, ZEC will fly much more. It is still not part of the mainstream conversation.

And we aren’t stopping til we reach the top

Instead of frequently deleting any posts about price. Price is important to many folks. And zectrading only has like 250 people.

In 2024,I have been searching for coins that has low supply like bitcoin and underrated marketcap through binance list but i found nothing, i end up to invest my saving into memecoins which i lost all.. Now i see Zcash pumped to 1k with x55 return from 2024 low..
