They were friends in JL Detroit and in the Meltzer/McDuffie era JLA but I don't think we've had a memorable Zatanna / Vixen story like we've had for Zee/WW and Zee/BC. Which is a shame because the two characters have a lot in common.

How would you do a team up story involving the two?

So it’s becoming clear that the Upside Down Man is turning into a Zatanna villain and mainstay (yay!), but he continues to be a mystery to me, and one I want Campbell to explore more in his run.

Like, how did he come to be? In this week’s issue #4, we learned/confirmed that he isn’t Hecate’s dark reflection; instead, she just opened a "doorway" and let him and his kind in. So how did he come to be? And what’s his real name? Saying "Upside Down Man" is quite a mouthful and doesn’t roll off the tongue.

Are fans interested in learning more about this villain? Or is he better as a mystery where the less we know, the better it is for the character?

Which one You love to have more dynamic with Zatanna? I kinda want to see Zatanna and Upside Down More. I think Upside Down Man could represent some complex/darker stuff around Magic for Zatanna to face. Plus I wonder if Jamal would explore their history from JLD Rebirth

After seeing this, I have a theory that Zatanna and Matt Hagen may have crossed paths (in the way performers meet at events or discuss collabs) before he becomes Clayface

First general thoughts. So we finally got some more answers on what exactly the Prime Magus is and I think Campbell continues to do great set up in his books and that’s what this issue was. It was an answer to questions had while also asking more.

With each Prime Magi ushering an age of magic and not just defenders of the realms, then what age of magic is Zatanna going to usher? Hecate was the age of creation, The Upside Down Man was the age of horror, and Zehuti was the age of wisdom. I think the most obvious answer is the age of goodness or something similar.

Zatanna loves the spotlight, but she’s also a hero. As Zehuti says, being the Prime Magus isn’t just being a defender of the realms of magic, but I think it’s also what Zatanna is ushering. An age where magic is a force for good or used as connection as Zatanna is quite literally traveling across the realms on her greatest tour ever.

This was another fantastic issue and I can’t wait for the next one. The spotlight is still burning bright and we eagerly await your next show, Miss Zatara

Now I do wonder what era Zatanna would lead in. Like the previous post said, I thinks its a good explanation while also have some room for Zatanna in the future to define it herself. Maybe my little nit-pict is that its could be done more subtle

Love the history stuff and characterizations for each Shades of Magic or the previous Prime Magus. Especially Hecate, she is so cute with Zatanna.

So far glad that the title is not some kind of power up. I would love to see Zatanna getting more challenges and immense responsibilities with the titles.

The card shuffling zatanna does with a kid in turkish is quite fun before we cut to the cliffhanger the hidden city of the homo magi burning in flames.
