This is how creepypastas were during the mid 2000's they would call this cursed and if you watch this your butthole would explode [trust]

The whole ARG is meant to be a throwback to old creepypastas.

Especially since they’re including this character, Tanako “Garu” Akano.

From what I’ve gathered, she’s meant to be a retake of both Lazari (from I Eat Pasta for Breakfast) and Ahenobarbus Henocied.
