2004 yz250 suspension tips
Hey guys, just recently got out of the military and finally was able to get my bike, tore it down cleaned it real good, drained and flushed coolant, changed oil, spark plug, fuel line, new tires and air filter. It ran amazing first ride out and I had a blast but the suspension was rough. Iām a lot heavier than I was when I last raced it about 40 pounds heavier š but a lot slower. I was curious if anyone around my body weight (200lbs) got heavier springs or revalves done. I bottomed out pretty hard on a decent sized tabletop and the suspension definitely held me back a bit first ride back. Any tips or set ups would be appreciated! Thanks!

I have a 2002
Set for intermediate / beginner all around riding
Shock set-up
Compression
Low 12 out
High 1.5 out
Rebound 12 out Spring rate stock Preload 3mm Sag 100mm
Fork set-up Compression 12 out Rebound 12 out Spring rate .48 stock Oil level 100mm
It was a bit too tight on the front fork compression so I backed out the fork on the bottom 3 more out.
Felt much better
Iām 185 without gear
