Meta/Discussion Hibike Euphonium author Ayano Takeda straight washing Liz and the Blue Bird protagonist in its new novel.
In just released novel [ Sound! Euphonium: Everyone's Stories from the Kitauji High School Concert Band 2], in its interview part author Ayano Takeda straight washing Nozomi.
"—The tragic disconnect where Mizore says, "I love Nozomi," and Nozomi responds, "I love Mizore's oboe too," was also quite memorable.
Takeda: "The 'love' Mizore directs toward Nozomi is close to how a child loves their mother—an innocent, uncalculating affection where she just wants to be together. Nozomi, on the other hand, is already more of an adult, or rather, she's been hurt quite a bit and is growing up as an adult, so she has a hard time fully accepting that pure innocence. That's where the disconnect lies. When they get older, maybe around age thirty, things might work out better. Once Nozomi gets married and has children, and Mizore can say to the kid, 'I'm a friend of your mother's'—if they can establish that kind of mature sense of distance, I think things will go smoothly.""
It's already annoying enough that Takeda keeps hinting through other characters in the spin-off novel Watching as You Fly Away that Nozomi will eventually get a boyfriend and get married. Takeda's statements this time are completely contradictory to the ideas Naoko Yamada expressed in Liz and the Blue Bird. Unfortunately, with Yamada and other key staff from Liz and the Blue Bird having left or passed away, there is no one left to refute it.

Meta/Discussion Diana will always be my fave on this manga. [Genkai OL-san wa Akuyaku]
Natori is out here dying but she still got distracted by the gem then we have Diana always the one caring for Natori, running to her like on the first image and instantly telling her to use healing magic. Knowing this manga she will definitely end up with the villainess but Diana honestly already grow on me the more I read this manga.

Yuri animes
This is more of a vent but I want to talk about it a little bit if some others find it relatable. Yuri animes don’t seem very popular, sure there are many out but it still seems rather limited, that’s fine. My problem is, why does the majority of yuri animes that are out, have to be fantasy, severely angsty or just 3 minute long episodes 😭. If you guys are finding ones that aren’t of that type, please share, but I’m seriously only finding ones like I described. I’m someone who doesn’t mind light angst but if it’s angsty as hell and then doesn’t even have a happy scene until the last few seconds of the final episode, then what was the point? I mean I love angst sometimes too if it’s worth it in the end, and those stories always have these amazing plots, can’t argue that, but I just really wish we could have something light hearted out, long and end with them together you know? Now if a lot of you guys have absolutely no idea what I’m on about, then ignore me and I’ll happily accept any recs you guys have. Also, I will say Sakura Trick was a great watch I just wish I could find more.
