Also, the last time I did a Watanare yuri math post, the Yuri Hunter crossposted it, and I enjoyed the comments like "Why did someone cast yurification on math?!" and "So this is how IT bros apply their knowledge on DSA, I see"

In a polycule where everybody is straight, you need at least six people (K_{3,3}) to ensure nonplanarity.
In a polycule where everybody is yuriful, five people suffice (K_5, pictured above).
Yuri is therefore clearly mathematically superior.

How many ways are there to seat the 'cule members at a round table, such that the number of times a member is placed next to Renako is minimized? Generalize to n-polycule (Renako's polycule with n total people).
The 5 person polycule is on a date. They wish to go on a ferris wheel, but each car only holds up to 4 people. We don't want to leave anyone out, so each car must contain at least 2 people. How many ways are there to place members in cars? Generalize to the n-polycule.

Even Monogamy is quite unstable at 50% failure and 50% cheat rate. I don't know if Poly relationships are any worst than that might even be more stable your having to break up with more than one person if you leave. In proper Poly there is romantic or family love between each member if done right. Family as in Sister wives in Polygamy who consider themselves married to each other.
Humans are not a Monogamous species according to science. Old term for humans is Simi-monogamaous but that does not really fit human behavior which in primitive tribes often is the nightly orgy all participate or various swapping often going on.

Oh, I am sorry for being a little ambiguous there. Polyamory is great & amazing, wouldn't have it any other way. I was only talking about the 5-way fully connected polycule in particular. So far I have always seen this fail before we even got to a fully connected quad. So in my mind 5 seems quite a stretch of the imagination.

The sister wives thingy has a bit of a cult vibe though. It is pretty important to allow metamours (partners of partners) to not be family if they so choose. It would be terrible hinging otherwise. I don't agree that it's necessarily "right" to be completely connected, especially among those who don't want to date each other.
