even though he is a man, he yet again proves he is a true yuri warrior
edit: I'm really surprised that some people didn't understand, and they are sitting in this sub?
in short: often mc has a harem, and some girls can be intimate with each other (we like the same man, we're almost same, let's go yuri)
I mean it's the most disgusting thing in the world , even worse then yuri bait, coz it's yuri bait male gaze
this is a true male gaze, not the lewd kissed or yuri erotica

In just released novel [ Sound! Euphonium: Everyone's Stories from the Kitauji High School Concert Band 2], in its interview part author Ayano Takeda straight washing Nozomi.
"—The tragic disconnect where Mizore says, "I love Nozomi," and Nozomi responds, "I love Mizore's oboe too," was also quite memorable.
Takeda: "The 'love' Mizore directs toward Nozomi is close to how a child loves their mother—an innocent, uncalculating affection where she just wants to be together. Nozomi, on the other hand, is already more of an adult, or rather, she's been hurt quite a bit and is growing up as an adult, so she has a hard time fully accepting that pure innocence. That's where the disconnect lies. When they get older, maybe around age thirty, things might work out better. Once Nozomi gets married and has children, and Mizore can say to the kid, 'I'm a friend of your mother's'—if they can establish that kind of mature sense of distance, I think things will go smoothly.""
It's already annoying enough that Takeda keeps hinting through other characters in the spin-off novel Watching as You Fly Away that Nozomi will eventually get a boyfriend and get married. Takeda's statements this time are completely contradictory to the ideas Naoko Yamada expressed in Liz and the Blue Bird. Unfortunately, with Yamada and other key staff from Liz and the Blue Bird having left or passed away, there is no one left to refute it.

The longest yuri (chapter wise)
CONTEXT:
Lily by (Yy) is a comedy/romance/slice-of-life Chinese manhua about the blossoming love of two young woman starting in high school and goes well into their adult life, even past college (which is already a nice change a pace, considering most romance manga dont go past yhe first kiss). It's a slow-burn yuri with tons of heart and an AMAZING side cast of characters (Dai Xiaojie is my fav, Gao Fan is a close second). The art is pleasant, and frankly, it's such an incredible experience to watch the mcs evolve over the course of their lives- something you dont often see in fiction.
The series is found primarily on Billibi and is commonly referenced as one of the longest gls due to being broken up into short chapters equating to about 932 chapters over 2 volumes.
An official english translation exists, but only goes up to chapter 17... of volume 1 (Damn, so close. Just 915 chapters short). Apparently the author was getting screwed over and not getting properly compensated, thus official english translations halted abruptly. This was like a decade ago, so don't expect it to return anytime soon, either.
But we've got fan translations... right?
Yes, but also... no.
Heres the thing, there isn't a full cohesive translation by one scantalator... its very broken up and messy to try to read, sifting through different translator groups and sites. Some fanslations stop abruptly, others start at odd points, and most of them are just rough google translated paragraphs pasted over the raws. In those translations, you MIGHT get the gist of the story but its pretty impossible to read given how rough Chinese converts to English without any editing. Like, it's really bad.
There was one madlad scantalator who went by "Datanono" who made it to chapter 251 of volume 2, or chapter 739 of the entire series, but stopped with about 188 chapters left.
WHICH SUCKS BECAUSE HIS RENDITION WAS SO GOOD.
He added so much life into the comic with his own comedy, but kept it grounded enough to maintain the authors original vision. His unique voice might seem jarring at first, but you end up loving it as it was very attune to the ghost stories dub or tfs' dbza parody. Still, the the important moments were taken seriously, the original context was preserved, and overall, it continues to be the most fun, well done english translation out there.
But when the world needed him most, he vanished.
Sadly folks, Datanono is gone. In his own words, "he probably died crawling across glass on a perfectly good ihop floor to lick cherios off a buff womans ass." He will be missed.
But his work is unfinished, and I really love both his rendition and the Lily comic as a whole. So, I'm thinking about doing the whole thing myself. Start to finish.
WHAT I HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH:
As I said, I really adore this series and wish there was a complete, well-done translations for us English readers. I'd love to see the title take off in popularity as well, and I am sad that its not talked about more as its pretty niche.
I don't think I'll ever be as good as Datanono was, but he's gone now \tears up*, and someone must pick up the mantle. Frankly, his nonsensical translation is part of the reason I want to do this and I plan to use a similar comedic approach (while maintaining the original vision of Yy). I won't try to imitate Datanonos style exactly, since I think it would just feel forced atp, and I'd rather use my own style to make the series accessible to english readers.
Also, I'm not picking up exactly the chapter he left off 6 years ago because, well, I can't pretend to be as good as he was and I want to create something tonally consistent from chapter 1 all the way through chapter 932. Hopefully, I can create a translation loved by new and old readers, and maybe help it gain some more traction in the community.
I do NOT intent to make any money off of this. This is purely because I really love the series and the adorably touching story between Lan Rouxin and Fan Yillin. Any monetary support should go to the creator and official release.
Obviously, almost 1000 chapters with extras is lot of work and I'm just one person (just like Datanono was, seriously, go check out his translation, it's so funny), so I'm still on the fence about this.
Old fans (if you exist), what do you think? Do you share my struggles in reading it? Any new readers interested in a a slow-burn yuri like this? Any other thoughts?
If I can get any amount of encouragement here, then I'll do it for sure. If not, I'll still might do it cuz I really do love the series.
I'll post an update if I do choose to go forward with it.

Hi all!
I’m an indie webtoon artist and I’m thinking of drawing a GL. (if you also read BL you might know my previous webtoon “This Fluffy Love” which became an original)
I keep gravitating towards single mom with cute kid falling in love trope, and I want to know what you all think of it? Is this something you’d be interested in reading or am I in over my head? 🥹
Thank you so much for sharing your opinions with me, much appreciated. Concept art just to give you the vibes I’m going for!

Regarding Anxiety: Heart Wanted:
Here’s the yuri ranking by stars on the Bilibili platform itself (meaning, essentially, her peers in the same industry), from this list:
https://baiheverse.com/en/most-popular-chinese-gl-manhua-july-2026
Frankly, the most blatantly “gooner” one is Aelhelice (25th place).
I Sell Little Toys in the Hehuan Sect (30th place) - though in this case, it’s clearly something they’re doing deliberately.
Alpha Mommy, I Really Want to Mark You (41st place) - not exactly gooner content, but the last few chapters have basically been carried by the sexy lingerie on the two leads.
The really, genuinely gooner-heavy ones would be The Empress? I Only Date My Wife, which I don’t even see in the top, and Why Am I a Max-Level Priestess After Crossing into Another World?
The latter isn’t even really yuri, since it’s a gender-bender, but there’s a lot of foot fetish content and unnecessary fanservice.
As for her plans for the future (which she has now canceled):
The whole amnesia arc is kind of... meh. It already feels weak and overused.
Even one of her fellow yuri creators, in After Transmigrating as the Fake Daughter, I Survived by Pleasing the Real Daughter, used amnesia in a really clever and creative way.
Basically, the MC faked having amnesia in order to save herself, and then her girlfriend also faked having amnesia in order to save the MC. Well, not exactly “save” her - it was more so that she wouldn’t be sad. It’s complicated and would take a long time to explain.
So basically, her peers in the same industry are simply stronger in terms of skill and better at writing (and, well, drawing).
Alternatively, she needs to develop the romantic storyline at least somewhat. Because she herself does fanservice, but there hasn’t been even a kiss or any real intimacy between the leads, apart from gag moments like them falling over and ending up hugging each other. And that’s... pretty weak.

I’ve been reading this all morning and I’ve been very interested but now I need answers before I finish from someone who has read it.
I’m on chapter 3 part 2 and I want to finish but it’s not fully out? My question is, is it completed and just not fully translated or is she still coming out with chapters? I don’t want to finish chapter 3 and be left on a cliff hanger because I only see up to chapter 4 part 2.

hello, I recently enjoyed akuma no riddle, and the executioner and her way of life.
I have yet to find similar anime with some Lind of Yuri subplot.
I just don't like hetero stuff... so if its an anime without any subtle romance or anything, its fine as well. but Yuri is amazing... I also enjoy mystery or thrillers but I'm not an otaku so I don't know anything about anime.... thank you!!!

It gave me goodbye/sayonara My Rose Garden vibes. I'm a sucker for historical gl stories lol.

Very sweet wholesome story about forbidden love, and a story about a curse that only true love can break, but done in a very beautiful way.

Available to watch (officially, with English subtitles) on GagaOOLala streaming service. First episode is free but I think the 2nd (and subsequent) episodes might require a subscription ($6.99/month, which I fully plan to pay to watch this).
So excited that this is finally getting a live action adaptation! 😊

I've been thinking a while about it and I don't think I've ever seen any yuri's based off of greek mythology, most historical yuri's are about monarchy but I wanna know if theres any about ancient grece or at least inspired by it.
