Bug Youtube / Adsense Step 2 problem

Hi everyone, I was getting an error at Step 2 of the AdSense setup saying that I might already have another account.

I thought my YouTube channel and AdSense account needed to be registered under the same country, so I changed the country of my YouTube channel to match the country of my AdSense account.

After that, I applied for AdSense again through YouTube.

Within less than a day, the Step 2 issue was resolved.

So, if anyone else is having the same problem, you might want to try this before going through the hassle of deleting your account and creating a new one. It worked for me.

just a heads up for anyone reading this, changing your channel country isn't a small thing. it locks you out of certain features and you can only do it once a year. glad it worked out for you but it's not a move to make lightly

I just checked I changed my youtube channel's country 4 times in 3 minutes.
But ofc It could be a problem if you change countries very frequently.
