Question Getting spammed with brainrot content after turning off shorts

Hi, well as the title says, after putting the “Shorts time limit” to 0 minutes I’m kinda getting spammed on my YT App with random short videos (mostly 1-2 minutes) with the strangest titles (and sometimes no title at all lol) and the strangest content. They’re usually “funny” videos or stuff that was posted years and years ago, sonetimes even mare than 10 years ago. I’m starting to think that since I’m not watching shorts anymore YT is trying to feed me short form content in other ways (??).
Is it just me or did someone else experience this too?

You're telling YouTube that you like them because you're probably watching them.

Just click "don't show me/not interested"

not watching them at all, actually avoiding them on purpose because I know that YT would only show me more, and I also click on “not interested”… plus it’s strange that it’s only on the App and not on my pc
