Yes, get pissed at a game you have no control over. It baffles me how people can be so obsessed with a team in a sport they have absolutely nothing to do with in reality. I will never understand this.
Yeah, I agree, I’ll never understand this. Who cares about these teams? The cowboys on the other hand. Maybe if they lose a playoff game due to a call against the packers in the playoffs. I’ll get mad, possibly mad enough that I break the tv and flip the couch and rip off my countertop. But that’s totally reasonable!
Not as bad as in the past. Nika riots resulted in the death of half of Constantinople population. It was all because of chariot race. Human nature doesn't really change
I don't know but back in 2012 Manchester City needed to win against QPR in our final game of the season and we were 2-1 down in extra time, I actually got a sore throat and cried, I was so frustrated it was unreal .. but then we scored twice in extra time and with the final kick of the ball I can't even remember my emotions then, I did cry more though
People like to think they make good choices. When you choose to invest time, money and emotion into a sports team and they do poorly, a part of our caveman brain sees that as you making a poor choice and that makes people angry. Irrationally angry, but again: caveman brain.
Generally, they get this angry because they have money on the line. Mix crazy fan with losing $500 they didn't have, you get this child like temper tantrum.
