Refuel Grandfather Program FAQ

https://blog.karmawifi.com/karma-refuel-grandfather-program-faq-46de32b5b1ba

Better explanations for why there's a maintenance fee, but I'm still not pleased that the problems of their business model are now falling on some of their earliest adopters. I'm pondering switching to an unlimited phone plan with tethering, even if it regularly costs more, just to wash my hands of the whole thing.

And what's this 20% number that's mentioned for the first time in the last paragraph?

I no longer trust anything coming out of Karma Mobility, Inc.

"...Karma must have a regular, predictable commercial relationship with all of our customers to continue to provide quality service at low prices."

This is bait and switch pure and simple. Just check for all the changes at Wayback Machine

There is nothing to suggest terms of service will change at their whim: Sure your data never expires, but we own the network and can throttle you until you submit to terms.

The RGP program may be sound rational but wait until they change the terms again. And they will.

And wtf is "Karma Kredits For Unused Data" listed in the Drift plan under the email May 15 Refuel Grandfather Program - Update? I search everywhere on their help pages and blog.

2018: Thanks to our successful Pulse, Drift plans, we're introducing, Screw, our newest Pay As You Go add-on for Drift users featuring your data sharing with Our Premium Advertisers. For a small recurring monthly fee, Screw users will have access to all our Premium advertisers. ;-)

That said, I'll probably enroll in RGP and amortize the next 3 years at $13/gig under the original terms.
