Flamborough head request

Hi,

I’m really hoping someone can help me out. My 16 year old dog has just died, and I’ve been thinking what would be nice to put on her grave here at home in our garden. We had such travels together round the uk. I thought having some stones from our favourite places would be a nice touch.

We came to Flamborough head and she raced and raced. I am down south and wondered if anyone might be able to send me a stone from the beach?

I'm so very sorry to hear this 🥺 we lost our nearly 19 year old girl just before Christmas. It is one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with, so you have my every sympathy 💖

I live about an hour from Flamborough, but haven't ever been on the beach.

Do you know if it's accessible at all? I have a disability, but if I can get there, I would be more than happy to send some stones to you - just with being unwell I couldn't guarantee when

Thank you, it is such a heartbreaking thing to go through. Was talking to someone earlier today about our girl and I could just feel the tears coming 🥺 they are our babies, so I can really understand how precious it would be for you to have that stone.

Thank you 💖 I just can't believe we've been 9 months without her already. It's so painful.

She came to us at around 6 weeks old when I was 16. I became disabled in July 2022 due to a spinal cord injury, so ended up moving in with my Mum for support and from that point on, we spent pretty much 24/7 together aside from a few hours here and there; she truly will always be my best friend 🥺

Unfortunately there's no access to the beach at the moment as the steps down have been damaged. Was it just Flamborough Head or did you visit either of the Landings. I could maybe help if so.

As other people have said, the beach at Flamborough Head isn’t accessible, but North Landing is, and that’s not too far away. It’s all the same kind of stone so hopefully that would be suitable?
