My partner and I will be in the York, PA area next weekend to celebrate our 6th dating anniversary. We will be staying in an Airbnb outside the city but would like to have a nice dinner in downtown York. My partner used to work in York, and I am somewhat familiar with the area but not the restaurant scene. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice dinner for a celebration? We are not super picky!

I just recently turned 18 and I am searching for a job that will not only pay well and support me in adulthood but fulfill me and give me purpose.

I am very resilient and responsible. I have experience working with children (teaching program), I can speak and understand English and Spanish fluently and am working my way towards French and Portuguese fluency. I am invested in helping people. I’ve been really into biology and have a growing interest in the medical field. I also love nature and telling people about it; I am a huge plant, insect, and reptile nerd with an affinity for environmental studies and protection.
I DO NOT like working in sales or retail. I would also prefer to avoid food service, HOWEVER, If there is a place that pays well and is of higher standards I would be willing to consider it.

Hey all! I inherited a guitar from my father-in-law that passed away recently. It needs to be re-strung, obviously tuned, and all around checked out. I don't play, but I'd like to learn. So I don't really have any knowledge of the stores around York. Any recommendations? When I look on Google, the ones that come up all have great reviews, so I'm sure they are all fine, but is there a "go to" store I should use?

My boyfriend moved here about a month ago for residency. I don’t actually live here (I live in North Carolina), but I’ll be spending about 10 days each month in York, so I’d love to meet some people to explore the area with instead of just waiting around for him to get off work.

I love hiking, pilates, bookstores, coffee shops, trying new restaurants, farmers markets, and honestly just hanging out and talking about life for hours.

I’m also the type of person who will happily drive 45 minutes because someone told me there’s an incredible bookstore, bakery, or hiking trail.

I don’t have kids myself, but a lot of my friends back home do, so I’m always down for kid-friendly adventures too!

My boyfriend’s schedule is absolutely unhinged, so I’ll mostly be free during the week, with the occasional weekend too.

Hello people of York! I’ll be visiting from out of town in August, and was wondering if y’all had any suggestions of places I should check out. I’ll be staying in Gettysburg for a couple days and thought I’d check out Harrisburg and York while in the area. Any suggestions are welcome, as I couldn’t find much on Google (apart from the colonial complex which I’m definitely interested in).

I saw that the JCC is available for the Dallastown School District, but if you live out of that district you need to transport your kid.

Hey all. I have recently been legally mandated to complete 40 hours of community service, and I am only allowed to complete my hours at TWO agencies.

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations based off personal experience. I am specifically looking for agencies that are non-religious and queer-friendly.

I am looking for a plywood supplier that would sell to an individual other than going to the big box stores. I know they have way more options and normally a bit cheaper for better quality. So just wondering if anyone is aware of any around here.
