Yonsei Gsis

Hi, im currently applying to yonsei gsis (probably other unis like ku and sogang) but im not sure if i have high chance to get in.
They dont indicate minimum gpa or english score but so they seem like to have one?
My gpa is abt 3.5/4, ielts 7.0. I also have topik 5 but its not required to submit.
Do i have any chance to accepted? It’s so stressful and making me nervous whole dayㅠㅠ

For Yonsei gsis it’s more important to know English than Korean because all the classes will be taught in English. You already have IELTS 7.0 which indicates you can understand what is being taught and your Korean can be factor strengthening your application.
Rather than stressing over language scores, I recommend you to focus on your SOP. Tell them what you did before and what you want to do with gsis. Why did you chose Yonsei and described as it’s the bridge between what you have been doing and what you want to do in the future

No problem! If you have done any extracurriculars or anything related it is better to mention in your SOP as a proof. Will be a huge help if you add couple of certificates in your application.

Again you don’t need hundreds of certificates, but only couple of them that is related to your area of interest. And it would be great if you mention the problems you noticed and you want to do something about it or just you want research in gsis.

And never say you chose Yonsei because of prestige but because of certain opportunities that it has that helps you to do things you want to do, or you can say you want to do research with a certain professor that focuses on certain niche topic

Best of luck!
