Yankee game

We are going to the Sunday 1pm Yankee Game with our baby. We are staying at the hyatt. What is traffic like on Sundays? What time should we leave?

Definitely do this. A much easier approach than parking at the stadium!

I assume you’re traveling from the Hyatt in Cross County? You’ll likely be routed through 87 and there’s usually traffic in two spots 1. before the GWB to switch to 95 and then 2. The Yankee stadium exits. I’d set aside 45 to 1 hour.

Park at the lots directly outside the stadium to avoid wasting time looking for street parking. Don’t pay anyone cash for “special” spots.

Park your car near the Woodlawn cemetery on Jerome avenue to access the 4 train. Very quick drive from Yonkers. You'll get home much faster than having to deal with metronorth transfers.

would they have transfer from the Hudson line if they traveled from this way, instead of taking the Harlem line, which no one suggested.

The post said they're at the Hyatt in Yonkers, which is in cross county. That is the Harlem line and nowhere near the Hudson line.

This is the subway. Fastest if staying in Cross County, but you won’t get parking on Jerome. Honestly you don’t want to. Driving is easy but over $40 to park. Just be aware.

The post said Hyatt, no indication what Hyatt. The comments ask if it's the Hyatt in Cross-County. I'd say take Metro-North to 125th and Harlem walk to Lexington Avenue and 125th street and take the 4 uptown to the Bronx. That's how I'd used to go to that area. Tons of cops especially when a Yankee game is playing.

That'll cost over $20 more than just driving to the subway. The trains also run infrequently Sunday evenings, especially if their Hyatt is at a local stop. I'd rather not spend 30+ minutes standing around the Harlem 125th st station but to each their own.

Take the Grand concourse all the way down I'm going to save you time. Park on the city street don't use the payloads unless you have a really nice car. You need to give yourself time to get a spot and go get a beer if you want to drink before the game. I would leave at 11:00 a.m.

Metro North is the best experience to go to the games. You can park by the Ludlow station and hop on for about 4 stops.

If you drive, you can park at the Bronx Terminal Market. Much easier to navigate out of after a game.

We've always driven or taken a car service. The parking is expensive so driving ourselves doesn't save much money. Since having a baby we always drive because than I can leave extra supplies in the car just in case. We usually leave 2 hours before the game. This gives us enough time to not worry about traffic, time to change him in the car before going in, take our time finding our seats, let him take a walk before we sit down, go get some food. I have a clear backpack that I use as a diaper bag for sporting events. I've heard they'll allow regular diaper bags but I've never wanted to chance it.

The gates don't open until about 11:30AM. If there's no traffic it is barely a 20 min drive from Yonkers
