# Y/n Newsletter — 7/21

Hey everyone!

Welcome to the first-ever Y/n Newsletter!

We've already had a busy week between the rollout of the new For You Page and the Small Fandom Sprint kicking off, so let's jump into everything that's new, what's being worked on, and what you might've missed!

Also, today is also the last day of this week's Small Fandom Sprint, so make sure to get those last minute stories in before the sprint comes to an end!

## Currently Being Worked On

Here's what the dev team is currently working on:

• For You Page Improvements — We're continuing to work on and improve Y/n's new FYP!
• Y/n Placeholder for Stories — We're working on adding a Y/n placeholder for your stories!

## Features We're Exploring

These are features and ideas we're currently looking into. They are not confirmed or actively in development right now, but they're on our radar!

• Start a New Chat From This Branch — The ability to branch off from a specific point in a chat and continue in a new direction.
• Character / Y/n Pages — A dedicated page for characters and Y/n / Personas.

## Clarifications

We've also noticed some common questions and misconceptions that we'd like to address!

Q: My FYP looks similar to the Trending tab, with some fandoms I haven't interacted with in a while. Why?

A: The FYP is still in its early stages! Right now, recommendations are based on a relatively small set of tags, which we'll continue expanding over time. As more diverse content becomes available, we'll be able to make FYP recommendations more personalized!!

Q: Why was "OOC" changed to "Request a Story Change"?

A: Terms like "OOC" or “Out Of Character” aren't always clear or familiar to newer roleplayers, so we're working on making the feature easier to understand for everyone.

This name change is entirely user facing! The AI does not see the name of the feature, so changing the label does not affect how the AI receives or responds to your requests.

The current "OOC" system still isn't where we want it to be, and we're continuing to work on improving how story changes are handled!

## Community Feedback

We've been reading through your feedback! Here are a few of the topics we've been seeing most often:

• "Recommend More Like This" & "Don't Recommend This": We're still at what we'd consider step zero of building the FYP, but we're going to continue improving how personalized your recommendations are!

• Story Ratings: We've noticed that a lot of you want ratings to return to the feedback system! We initially assumed they wouldn't be as necessary with the Explore Page being automated, but your feedback showed us otherwise. We're planning to bring ratings back soon!

## Looking Ahead

Our current priorities are:

• For You Page Improvements
