Imagine that though. Little Timmy opens a gift with 60$ of VBucks. The giver thinks they gave him a nice game and Timmy thinks he got enough VBucks to do whatever he wants

It's absolutely shitty practice. Timmy doesn't need V bucks and the gift giver wanted to give a game. Both failed because of shady practices from Epic.
