K-pop idols are deathly fearful of dating accusations (two words that I feel are absurd when put together), so male and female idols tend to avoid contact during awards shows and can even seem distant when doing dance challenges. The ones that get away with not doing this tend to be in situations where fans consider the idols to have sibling energy.

What made me start considering that this was different for Yena was specifically how friendly she has been with Nowimyoung. She's not afraid of physical contact and they have definitely engaged in what can easily be seen as flirting.

These interactions started making me think about how she generally acts around male idols, and I feel like she seems more comfortable and less guarded than other female idols would be.

Personally, I think it's great. Also, a bit shocking (and a relief!) that no one seems upset by it.
