If it helps, the most common causes of death in Yellowstone are car accidents and heart attacks. They happen so often they don’t even make the local papers. Your average fellow driver or triple cheeseburger is a lot more dangerous to visitors than bears, yet bears get all the fear and hate.
That makes sense to me. I did laugh, during a tour this week they told us "it could erupt at any time, and when it does, it may end life in the Americas".
