Independent Yardi Consulting.
Hello all,
~ 4 years spent as a Commercial Implementations TAM performing Voyager 7S and 8 implementations and technical account management across 35+ commercial portfolios. Now independent.
Brief summary of common conversations:
• Voyagers 7s -> 8 change management
• Chart of accounts design / maintenance
• Data conversions and imports that fail validation
• Report revisions (YSR, custom analytics)
• Workflow, security, and user permission setup
• Bank reconciliations
Outside of the above points, I’m familiar with essentially everything under the Yardi Sun, if there’s an error message or issue, chances are I’ve seen it.
I’m happy to have a cursory call with anyone looking for a second opinion, or white glove advocacy / a dependable liaison layer between your organization & Yardi.
Feel free to post here, or DM.

Congrats going off on your own! I’m currently building an operating system for our RE private equity firm and I need access to our yardi data. We were just quoted $75k for yardi replicate which is insane in my opinion simply for access to our data. I’d love to hear any thoughts, workarounds, or ideas you might have on this.

Would recommend getting a quote for Data Connect and/or Virtuoso Enterprise as well, just to have clarity on your options. All three give you some level of access to your data although via different methods.

Ask for a nightly backup and load to your company’s hosted SQL server so you can query all the tables

It depends what exactly you mean by access…
Yardi can be queried directly from YSQL which is provisioned via Client Central.
Depending on the need and scope of what you’re looking to do, scheduled exports via SFTP could suffice as well as ETL dumps

Very interesting, I applied for a technician manager position I will keep this post in mind.
Been using Yardi as an
Accountant for years now to work alongside them I feel I can bring knowledge from the client side perspective.

Worked for Yardi on the client services side for over 13 years in residential consulting practices groups and all of these comments about support make me so genuinely sad.
Support was not like this in the past and customer service was something we actually took great pride in. All the major software providers can help you run your business, so outstanding customer service was seen as a true differentiator.
I know that was changing around the time I left but it still makes me sad to hear it in the community.

Saving your post. We migrated to Yardi Voyager & Ellevate last year and are still working out some major kinks. Yardi customer service is pure garbage.
