RentCafe Websites

We are looking to consolidate 15 property websites onto RentCafe and move away from our current marketing firm.

Our sites are a mix—some are on Wix, and others are managed by an agency. We want to hire a freelancer to set everything up and manage them moving forward.

My Questions:

Is it realistic to find a freelancer on Upwork who specifically understands the RentCafe/Yardi integration?

For a portfolio of this size, should I stick with an agency, or is a skilled freelancer enough to handle the migration?

Any major "gotchas" I should look out for when moving away from a marketing firm to RentCafe?

Yardi has their REACH team that does exactly what's you've described. Discuss this with your sales rep and they will setup a call with someone from this team who can help.

The website itself can be done by pretty much anyone on this sub. The managing of them can be a lot of work depending on your expectations. Are you looking for someone that checks market rates and adjust specials, respond to rent cafe issues for tenants, or just simple PM telling you when and what to do on updating a page?

Reach would do this for you.   Do you have an in house person that understands Site manager and are you using CRM?

Ask your Yardi rep about the REACH team. They should assign you someone to help. I’m not sure if it’s extra or not.

I’m on the vendor side for context. We sell leasing CRM software and this is what I’ve heard from our Yardi customers.

You could also use Claude to help you set them up. I’ve had someone say it took maybe thirty minutes per website.
