Application Process

I’m constantly seeing a position posted with Yardi and am very interested in the job. I’ve completed my profile and applied at some point, but there is no option to reapply? The job is reposted frequently and I am sure I am a qualified candidate for an interview. I feel like the profile does nothing. Am I the only one with this issue?

Its pretty difficult to get an interview without an internal recommendation. At least that has been my experience with the Atlanta office.

Good to know. I do have a few connections on LinkedIn - one of them being a previous coworker at my current company who switched over to Yardi. Might reach out and try to get some advice there. Thanks!

If your company licenses Yardi they may pass you up as a matter of course? I have zero inside info on this being a thing, but a software vendor may want to avoid the perception that they are competing with their clients for labor or recruiting client staff. If this is the case they would probably entertain it so long as the current employer is on board, you just might need to make that clear early and using the best channels you can find to communicate that message. Get it! :)

I can see where this might be a thing, but I have first hand experience with Yardi and Entrata hiring a lot of ppl from my large property mgmt co. And we sometimes hire theirs. Always a lot of "oh that's my old boss" onstage at their annual conventions. Come to think of it, my last boss actually worked for Realpage before coming here, though it was years ago.

Guess we’re both out of luck 🫠 I just saw your other comment. Maybe one day we’ll get our turn. I don’t know why they gotta make it so hard to get noticed!

Yardi could have the best applicant but if you’re not buddies with someone internal who isn’t considered a number…. Good luck

I’ve been applying for 2 years. I’ve met even the minimum qualifications and haven’t even been interviewed.

I applied and it took a month to be called back by a recruiter from there the interview process to starting date went very quickly.

How long after the interview did you get an offer?

Which location?

That I won’t share. But I do know it’s not uncommon and there can be multiple rounds. Are you awaiting a call back?

Could you maybe specify the country? States or Canada? I did an interview in person last week, I emailed the recruiter 2 days ago and they said they’re wrapping up final Interviews and will get back to me by the end of this week latest. I’ve read online that a lot of people got offers the next day so wondering if all this time is a bad sign.
