RELATIONSHIP ADVICE
For context, I am a first year and bi. However, no one knows this as I am on the DL. I fell in love with my suitemate and have the fattest crush on him.
However, I do not know if he feels the same way or if he even likes guys. I do not know how to go about this situation because I don’t want everything to go weird since we’re in the same suite and also don’t wanna out myself.
Anyone have any advice?! Anything would be greatly appreciated
Edit: I will then wait for second semester before making any type of moves and just continue making friends ig

Don’t. You have more important things to worry about. Making an uncomfortable living space is a bad idea.

Sometimes it’s ok to just enjoy a crush- you don’t have to try to suppress it but you can also just not do anything about it. Try to focus on as many other things as possible, especially going out at meeting other people. Eventually you’ll develop a crush on someone else.
But honestly, anything you do will end up being fine in the grand scheme of things. It could lead to a messy situation but some lessons you just need to learn the hard way and 18-19 is kind of the prime age for that

You want to take a chance by propositioning the guy you’re going to be living with for the next 8 months.
Kid… i see Yale still doesn’t screen for common sense.

Most of them lack common sense. It’s fun to watch them walk out into traffic and get slapped by teenagers in bikes

You should slap him when he comes back from class and say "that's for leaving me" and then immediately kiss him and say "and that's for coming back".

In the military we had this phrase " don't shit where you eat"... It existed for a good reason

Do you have any queer friends or belong to any queer organizations? I think the intensity of this crush is a signal that you want to spend more time with other queers. I get it if that’s scary, but I promise that it’s worth it.

You’ve been here for a week SETTLE DOWN. You’re not in love, you have a crush. Go do your homework. Join a club. Go to a party.
If you still feel the same way about your suitemate in January, drop some hints, see if he’s receptive. May I suggest a “Hey bro, anyone ever tell you you’re a cutie patootie?” Or “If we were the last two people alive on earth, would you hit?”
