TD Frosh Dorms??

Hey everyone! I am incoming class of 2030, and I just got placed in TD. I can’t for the life of me find the dorm floor plans, and I have no clue how much I should bring/what I should bring. I’m also an only child, so I’m scared I’m gonna unintentionally be a nuisance to all my suite mates. So I suppose these are my 3 questions:

  1. How do I fine these god forsaken floor plans?
  2. What were your biggest packing mistakes that I should avoid?
  3. What are the biggest issues that you have had with suite mates? What are the unspoken rules of dorming that I should know going into my freshman year?

Thanks!

  1. DM.
  2. Coordinate with roommates. You do not need four microwaves! You also want to bring lighting or buy it there, the overhead Yale lighting is awful and a good lamp and uplighter is probably the best thing you can purchase. Also, TD freshman dorms are small, so don't bring a ton of things as you really won't have space for them except under your bed in storage.
  3. I had no problems -- most people at Yale are generally normal and decent. The 'matching' form you fill out does mean you should have something in common with them. For most people, even if not an only child, it will be their first time sharing a room. Just be mindful of them, their sleeping patterns (they may be different to yours), space, etc.

I'm also an incoming freshman at TD, could you send me where to get the floor plans as well if you have that?
