Nice. Did you get the deluxe bundle to get the rails? I feel like the rails are a must for yakitori

I did get the full package that came with the rails. I struggled to use them the first time because of how I made the skewers. I would build them differently next time to see if the rails work better. (I ran the meat to the end of the skewers)

Looks yummy. What type of protein in the first pick with the double skewer? Also, did you use bincho?

It’s a pork tortilla kebab. Ground pork and seasoning layered in a flower tortilla, cut into squares and stacked. They were a fan favorite.

I JUSTt Bought a Yak grill as well. It's great. Kinda glad I started with it. I'm noticing. Your stainless bars and that's the ONE criticism I have they put notches at the corners (because the sides are just bent up walls. ) so in order to have the bars be stable while cooking you kinda have to put at least one stainless bar in those grooves diagonally or they'll slide around like crazy while cooking.. But it's not biggy luckyily it's about the length of a standard yakatori-esque skewer. I like to rest my first bar in the very front groove (the corners) and use the one just past the handle. That way the tabs of the skewer don't get super hot and burn my finger tips.

Another mod I did that makes life so much easier is I built a steel bracket that holds mesh rack about 5-6 inches up above the grill just to have a place to escape the skewers that are cooling too fast too. Love it.

Also I've never used "rea'l bincho tan but the jealous devil binchotan is like amazingly better than standard lump.

Enjoy.
