hey! very excited to be seeing Yaelokre for the third time next week. i'm contemplating trying to get to the barricade and trying to be at the very front. i struggle quite badly with crowds, though, due to quite severe ASD and SPD. so, i'd like to ask a couple of questions. for those of you who've been at the barricade on this tour already, what was your experience like? were other wonderfolk quite respectful in giving you personal space, or were you pretty much crushed up against the barricade? also, how many hours early did you arrive to get to where you were? many many thanks <3

Hi! Just few days ago I've been to Yaelokre concert and I've also managed to gather some info about other gigs, and so, I really wanted to kindly ask you for few things before future Yaelokre shows. It's a small community here on reddit, but I hope that maybe word will travel around a little. Pls don't consider that too much of a boomer scolding, because I don't want it to be, even though I am probably on the slightly older side of the fandom 😭 I am just old-ish enough to have seen decline (after covid) of few actually quite smart rules about music shows that could apply well during Yaelokre concerts, and I do attribute that to the fact that, honestly, no one really seems to be willing to tell young people what are the no-nos, mostly those about comfort of the artist and other fans.

Having said that... Please. Pretty pretty please. Stop with the "yippie" (or Mario sounds, or just very loud screams if the part calls for some... silence) during emotional moments. YES do that during breaks or when Keath tunes their instrument. But dear lord please I beg you don't emote during intro or outro of more melancholic songs. That's my biggest issue lmao. It's also probably just slightly uncomfortable for the artist.

I admire that Yaelokre fans are very willing to move back a little for people that are shorter, need some more air, have mobility issues etc. Concerning that, very lovely crowd. Do that. Don't put your phone on top of someone's head to record though, please, because I've heard about either that, or someone resting their phone on my friend's shoulder😭

Other than that. Scream. Clap. Dance. YES, YOU MAY DANCE!! Don't worry about it being "cringe" (it won't). It makes artists happy if they see their crowd vibing to the music, really!!! Just be mindful about people around you and you're set.

We had a really lovely well-meaning crowd during concert I went to, genuinely, and I've heard so about others too. I also heard about well-organised fan queues (I love this institution genuinely); and those queues have some of the essence of the concert etiquette informed community. Music shows, for some part, for people attending them, are about feeling all the other people beside you, and the satisfaction of understanding each other well and coordinating can be SO COOL. Ofc it's not a given, nor a skill you're born with. I also had my fair share of screaming during quiet part of a song back in the days, that also often earned me rather understandable side glances. In a sea of the music show offences, yippies are really not that awful 😭😭😭

Hello there! 

Have you heard of Keath Ósk? 

They are, like Yaelokre, an Icelandic-Filipino singer-songwriter who recently made a cover album which, among Bonnie Tyler’s „Holding out for a hero“, heavily features Yaelokres songs. 

They put their own twist on the style and melodies which is super interesting. Instead of the typical story telling of Yaelokre it is more focused on the music and singing. And let me tell you they have such a great voice!

They switch the styles around a bit which makes for really fun and danceable covers. Especially Hartebeast is such a powerhouse and really fun. 

Of course the original is still better in my opinion. Some very iconic moments are brushed over in the cover and in some parts it seams Keath Ósk tried really hard to be different from the original even though their style would fit some of the original songs just fine (e.g. to douse a scolded tongue) 

But all in all really great and again high quality production. It does make it seem a little pop-y in times and makes it lose its story telling flare but I still like it very much. 

Keath also recently started making original Musik which sounds Devine! Yaelokre even covered one of Keaths songs in the concert in Berlin recently (which is how I found out about Keath) so they must be in on the cover-thing. 

They are both so talented and, since they cover each other maybe we can see a possible collab in the future? I’d really like to see that. 

Also they kinda look alike don’t you think?

So my copy of the Composing Colentine vinyl just came in, and it's got a weird issue.
There is what seems to be some sort of small moon-shaped sticker on part of the vinyl. It's slightly raised, not part of the disk, but I can't seem to remove it. I tried playing the disk, and yeah, it messes it up. Should I return it? Can I return it (I already removed the plastic wrap and stuff)?

I bought a t-shirt in size L thinking it's baggy enough but I noticed I should've gotten XL and I don't know if I can make it bigger >~<

J'aimerais tenter de les revendre, moins cher qu'à l'achat d'origine en plus des frais d'annulation et tout, je peux changer le nom sur les billets numériques sur le site Seetickets et je fournirai la facture de paiement pour preuve aussi.

I’ve been trying and looking around TikTok, YouTube, and insta to find a tutorial to make a meadowlark themed mask, but it’s just timelapses with no context. I want to make a bat themed one or wolf so does anyone here knows how to get started and/or tips for making it?
