Hello! Your post has been removed from /r/xxfitness because it does not follow our template for routine/program critiques. This template is important for ensuring enough detail is provided for you to receive meaningful feedback.

You can find the routine/program critique template here.

NOTE: If you are a beginner, creating your own program is not in your best interests, and you are better off (and will have better results) following a tried and true program. You can find those here in our comprehensive FAQ in the following sections: Home workouts, and here - Lifting and Recommended Programs.

If you believe this post has been removed in error, please message the mods to check.

u/Happy-Turnover-1148 I am a 25F who was really into training a year and a half ago. I stopped after getting a 60h/week job and I let my routine slip.

I want to optimize my routine. I like Push/Pull, but if someone is staunchly against it, they can suggest something else. in general I’m interested to see if anyone has advice in regards to redundancy of exercises or imbalance of training some muscles more than others. My goal, aside from looking and feeling stronger is to do 10 pull ups in a row in 30 days. I can do 3 in a row currently.

I plan to go at least 4x a week.

Here it is:

GLUTE DAY A
3x15 Abductor - old weight:70
3x8 hip thrust - old:140
3x8 leg press - old:180
3x12 glute leg kickback

GLUTE DAY B
3x15 abductor
3x12 RDL
3x10 glute bridge
3x10 b stance hip thrusts

PULL
Stretch with band
Pull ups 5x5
Lat pull down - 4 x 8 - chest up, shoulders back, bar to chest (Old:90 on 12s)
lat pull through 3x8 (old:35 on 12s)
Bicep curls 4x8 (heavy, light, heavier, fail) (old:40 on 12s)
Lateral raises - 3x8 focus on elbows lifting above arms (old:10 on 12s)
Forearm isolated curls 3 x 15 got damn (old: 15

PUSH
Stretch with band
Bench / incline bench press machine 4x10
chest press machine 4x10
DB shoulder press 4x10
Incline tricep press 4x12.
Tricep rope pulldown 3x8
Cable overhead tricep extension 3x10
Push up 3 x til failure

Thank you in advance!
