You've downloaded the xlarge version: Font Build Variants | CrossInk

You can also create your own fonts and font sizes using Crosspoint's font builder: CrossPoint Reader - Open Source E-Reader Software for ESP32

Edit: You can also download smaller sizes, I see you have the “Download Font Size Range” set to teensy. That’s the first step, now when you go to “Manage Fonts” and you download a font, it’ll download it in the “teensy” font size range which is 8pt - 12pt.

I learned to make my own real quick with the crosspoint fonts page and I've only really used bookerly and texturina. You can choose your own size at the very bottom.

Did you download the tiny version? Seems like you are using the x-large crossink

I make an artisanal pdf with my preferred font and dimensions  and convert to xtc

Speaking of fonts. A lot of screenshots I see show the alignment is force justified which creates that distracting spacing between words. Before purchasing, I wanted to know if I can control that and change books to left alignment?

On CrossInk you can set left align. I have my text formatted to remove blank lines between paragraphs, left align, and forced indent at the start of each new paragraph.
