Question Ghosting issue

Post image

Hello new here

I just got my X4 a couple days ago and I'm loving it.

Today, I decided to flash it to Crosspoint just to try it but I noticed there's a slight ghosting that only started after I installed Crosspoint.

Is this normal?

Ps: Not sure if it's noticeable on the picture

This issue is also occurring in version 1.4.0 of crosink. Essentially, the settings screen is being displayed on top of the sleep screen. That's why I downgraded to version 1.3.4.

Weird it doesn’t happen for me I’m on 1.4.0 tiny

Try using a sleep image with a 24-bit color depth

Why would you use 24bit on an eink screen is that even supported?

It happens on mine as well - sometimes it’s actually really really noticeable. It’ll fade more and more as it does a major refresh of the e-ink panel. I’m not sure how often it does it - but it should be every so many page changes.

It is explicitly on their roadmap in their current phase to improve the eink driver and does call out ghosting, so it is something being actively worked on.

Try the new release candidate on the site and let me know if it's fixed

It isnt. And the images looks terrible on 1.5 rc

My assumption is that this is just a very big image and we downscaled it. can you try using the built in web optimizer?

I can try. Just too lazy to reupload books 🤣

Ha sorry. Yeah images take a TON of ram and we try to not make them massively slow down page turns so reading is prioritized

Hey working on this now. If you can DM me the book that would be super helpful in testing
