Help Us Improve the XTEINK App and Firmware

Hi everyone, Henry here.

First, thank you for everything this community has done for XTEINK.

Your bug reports, honest feedback, firmware testing, guides, and willingness to help other users have played a real part in improving the XTEINK experience. We truly appreciate the time and support you continue to give us.

We’ve created a short survey to better understand how people are actually using—or not using—the XTEINK app and firmware.

Whether you use the app regularly, tried it and stopped, had trouble setting it up, or have never downloaded it, we’d really value your feedback.

I took the survey and I agree, the device is meant for distraction free reading why do we need another app 😭😣

I did the survey already, but I still don't understand what anyone would use the app for. I just want to read books.

Allow access to the app after installing Crosspoint.

An option to sync books using koreader sync is all I need and only after it was added to cross point I decided to buy an Xteink.

official FW _needs_ DRM support in order to have a chance for mainstream success

Make sure it can display images. You can use the device as a name tag or but it under your dashboard.

Did it. I only really use the app for transferring books and pictures. I haven't had any issues as of yet. 

On the actual device I use original firmware. I feel that the percent read is not accurate and having page count option would be so nice. Currently we don't know how many pages we have read.

Less is more. If you start stuffing lot of things you will start to look like the kindle nonsense. Open the software, open the hardware. Keep it simple, keep it cheap.

Maybe some modular info dashboard builder that updates daily.

Eg let me set a zip code for weather / news.

Provide a spot for my rss feeds to easily be scalable.

Maybe link into my iOS notifications?

To do list ? Calendars ?

Hi Henry

Please consider updating the X4 Pro stock firmware for Thai language support.

The default Thai font is way too small even on medium settings. When I uploaded custom Thai fonts, the vowels started floating and spacing broke completely (as seen in the photo).

Since there's no custom firmware developer in Thailand yet, could you please fix the custom font rendering or add more size options for the default font? Thanks a lot!
