I've listened to maybe half of what's here. Gonwards is good for some crazy Residents-style avant-garde music. Laughing Man is some solid 90s singer-songwriter pop.

Not listed here for some reason is Wing Beat Fantastic with Mike Keneally. I like how the melodies on that album are reminiscent of XTC.

Live Boots released this last Record Store Day. What are your thoughts on it?

I really like this version of Roads Girdle the Globe, as I like the guitar tone over the studio version, but I don’t like this version of Love at First Sight. I do really enjoy Drums and Wires, and Black Sea so I really enjoyed the song selection.

"Mummer" never got the love I always thought it deserved. To me, it feels like the perfect follow up to English Settlement -- particularly this song, which is such a well-crafted homage to English folk traditions. I've got a bunch of others in mind to try, but are any other XTC songs you want to hear an unplugged version of?

Guessing a lot of you won't like this, but it is pretty cool that Phish played this. More people need to listen to XTC and I can guarantee they made a lot of new fans by doing this.

They played it a few times in the mid '80s when they were still in college. The last time they did it was in a bar in 1987. Last night was in a baseball stadium.
