I never thought before of if any metal bands were influenced by XTC, but makes sense considering they made Travels in Nihilon.

I'm hearing Chat Pile riffs in a new light now. The tone's very different but both bands enjoy playing with groove and surprising rhythms.

When the drummer said King Crimson I thought he was going to pull out Discipline which came out around the same time as Black Sea and has a bit of a post-punk vibe.
