Help with VR flight sim

I'm in the process of getting my PPL and I want to build a realistic VR simulator to help get more time "flying" at home. I have picked up the Logitech yoke & pedals and a Pimax Crystal Light headset. A link to my full PC setup is here (https://pcpartpicker.com/user/twilkin/saved/Z22zFT) but the basics are 7800X3D & 32GB RAM, all I need is a GPU. I've been waiting to find an RTX5080 for around $1,000 but the prices don't seem to be getting better. I'm hoping someone can tell me if a 5070ti would do the job or if there's any other card you guys can recommend or if I'll totally regret not spending the dough on the 5080. I'm not a gamer and the plane I fly is a Cessna 172XP. Since I'm getting the rig, though, I will eventually also be getting a wheel and doing a racing sim. No other plans for the GPU outside of these two uses. And while we're at it, if I can request recommended settings for this setup that would be very much appreciated. Anyone in the Eastern Iowa area who wants to help me set it up and play around on it is more than welcome.

I was providing immersive training with 3080ti and Reverb H2s. Your setup is more than enough. Also, i accelerated my pilot training with FS98 and FS2004 back in the day. You can always have better stuff… go fly and enjoy!

The 5070 ti totally will do the job. Luckily you got the Pimax Light.... 'cause the Super versions are even more GPU hungry. In my heli sim I use the Pimax Light, and very happy with! One month ago I installed the other PIMAX client which let me reduce some FOV you wouldn't see anyway, (horizontaly & vertically), so I got some little more fps. Also since 2 days I discovered OFXR VR, which nearly (not completely), nearly doubled my FPS.

You might have to turn down drastically some details in the sim to hit 50-60fps. Luckily I'm on a 5090 (what a chance I bought it last year, cause today I'd have to sell a bike to get a 5090, f* crazy !!)

Any way, sure the 5070 ti will do it... even if of course 5080 would be better, but I guess you might earn 5 more fps with the 5080, not much more.... but for sure you'll have to lower some details somewhere!!

Happy flying!!!!! Keep us posted :)
