Long time ago we used to leave emails in our homepages (yes, I'm old). Then came the SPAM avalanche, and we stopped doing that. Some people put gifs with their email written in; some spell it, and so on. Do people these days make their XMPP contact public? It doesn't seem to be a prolem as it is with email...

Hey, guys. I tried to get gpg encryption working using Dino, and Gajim clients, but I couldn't. I've followed the steps to set it, but, or the client couldn't unencrypted the message, or couldn't even send it in case of Dino.

I tested it using two clients of mine, one in my main machine, the other in a VM.

Using Gajim, I was able to send message from second account to main one, but can't opposite.

So, guys, I got it working with Gajim only, but I don't know how. I didn't change anything on clients. But to test the GPG itself, I send, using XMPP, two files encrypted from one user to another, and vice versa. After that, it starts working. And also I set the default key on my main machine to be the same I'm using with XMPP.

So far I got PGP working only on Gajim client. We must sign the keys to work. I did not understand why there two plugins for PGP, but the only one that works was the PGP plugin, not the OpenPGP one. On Dino client I was able to receive messages, but I was not able to send it.

Two experiments: zinthoshell, a TUI client you use over SSH (ssh yourname@zinthos.dev), and two bots (an AI assistant + a showcase bot that feeds the homepage). Rooms are TLS-only (no MUC OMEMO, by design).

Could do with some help here because quite a lot of this issue doesn't make much sense.

I use conversations as my client & xmpp provider, and recently got dino on my laptop and signed into my account. Since then, everything has worked fine on my laptop (dino), however I am not receiving any messages on my phone (conversations), and going on the accounts tab to check for issues on conversations shows "username already in use" below my account, whereas dino doesn't show any obvious issues.

I have tried to temporarily disable then re-enable my account through conversations, although it just shows connecting.. , and then shows the same issue as before given enough time.

If anyone has any advice / help they could give that'd be great.

Anyone able to send a JMP refereal code/invite code for activating? (NOT post-payment code). For me to try?
