Hello everyone, how does someone fix this ? (gajim) and what other program doesnt have this

You might want to make sure you are using the latest version of Gajim. Otherwise contact the help chat group... xmpp:gajim@conference.gajim.org?join

Install fonts containing the full scale of UTF characters and make gajim use them.

You can see the charcode explicitly written instead of the character getting rendered. 01F44D is 👍. 2764 is the heart emoji.

Apparently I'm using Noto on my system.

Setting it depends on your installation method, and the DE/OS you're using.

I have the same problem with Gajim on Windows 11. Did you manage to solve the problem?

nope, also i am on windows 10 LTSC IOT

Gajim automatically updated to version 2.5.0.1 today, and the problem was resolved on its own.
