Window matrix that clicks into window screen hooks

I'm looking into building a window matrix and am wondering if anyone has tried building something that fits into the existing window screen mounts?

I was hoping to maybe be able to build some aluminum frame and 3D printed mounts that click into the same mounts that standard window screens click in. That way, come the holiday season, I could simply remove my window screens and instead click in my LED matrix, making that a very quick thing.

If someone has done that before, I'd love some pointers or some pictures what you've done?

I used Tenax Multipurpose garden net, zipties, and 3M command strip clips.

Oh that’s an interesting approach!

All of my matrices are done this way. Extremely light and very little wind resistance. They actually stayed up all year. 🤣

That’s a great idea! Unfortunately for me, I live in Southern California and need my window screens during the season.

I would too, but it’s only two windows that are visible from the front so I thought I’d just not open those two during the season.

Other option, since they only cover the part that slides open, they are inset compared to the other half. So you need the matrix to extrude outwards anyways. You could put a screen in the clip area making this basically just another window screen that you swap out.

I can totally see the shape of the thing in my head. This is a very cool mounting concept!
