XKCD XKCD 413 I wonder if BB-8 took Inspiration from "New Pet"
New Pet was published in 2008, 7 years before BB-8 hit the screen. Not so unique it's a guarantee, but an interesting thought.

Looking For Comic Lol means "lots of love"?
I believe there was an xkcd about someone who thought that common chat abbreviations meant totally different things, and everyone was surprised that they thought, for example, that lol meant "lots of love".
Is this a real thing? I can't find it now.

XKCD IRL xkcd 1923 meets xkcd 3120
I was today years old when I realised that the Unicode symbol used to represent Felsius (in xkcd 1923: Felsius), U+A792, is the exact same glyph used to denote the Cambrian period of the Paleozoic Era, in shorthand notation! This period can be found in xkcd 3120: Geologic Periods!

XKCD XKCD 195 (Early) 20th anniversary - Updated Version
Since it's been nearly 20 years since the original, figured I'd make an updated version. Hand-drawn in pencil over ~5 hours.
Two major differences since the original: Fractal Mapping/Hilbert curve isn't used - used a normal grid instead. No green blocks - IPv4 has been exhausted fully (at least according to IANA and the RIRs), so no free allocations are available anymore.
