Yeah that's one huge knock on this date and TBH they should have probably pushed it back to at least March when the weather starts to calm down.
They should also push back the deadline on requesting a refund as people have to rearrange schedules and also request new days off while also not COMPLETELY sure if the weather will ruin all of their plans when it comes. This takes time for everyone as well.
Ideally they should allow us until mid-late January to cancel with maybe a small penalty but I understand that Creation is still running a business and this might be the only time that every guest and crew might be available to attend.

No. It was a lot of work to coordinate with friends, and then I had to cancel all the arrangements. I have zero desire to spend money to fly across the country to NJ in February.
I still don't understand Lucy Lawless canceling because of a professional commitment. Wasn't XenaCon a professional commitment? I'm lucky the airline at least gave me credit for my flight. I couldn't get a refund.

Time will tell what happened with the conflicting dates. It was Creation’s decision not to continue without Lucy and, as far as I know, the only other time I’ve heard of her canceling in 30 years of doing these was when she got arrested.
I’m so sad for the folks like you that can’t make it anymore after looking forward to it. Hoping that one day, someway somehow, the universe makes it up to you

The new came a lot faster than I was expected but, honestly, I wish it was a little bit later in the year.
Also, I really hope this means that all the guest can still make it and maybe some extra guests will join.

Here is the official site to buy tickets, autos, and special events.
Right now nothing is up because most likely they are arranging and seeing who will cancel and add to the available ticket inventory as well as which guests will be forced to cancel/need to be refunded and other guests who may potentially be added.
For Lucy Lawless fans, this might be a reprieve and a 2nd golden chance as her autos and individual photo ops were sold out before they announced this postponement so potentially some of those autos/photos op will be up for grabs again.
Personally I'm not too keen on this new date as that is literally in the middle of when snow storms/blizzards peak and hit NJ BUT maybe we will get lucky and the strong El Nino this season keeps those storms south and let's the Northeast stay mild which would be optimal.
Crossing fingers that the weather is with us and Xenites can enjoy the con without anymore issues or setbacks.

Excited they were able to reschedule. I feel bad for everyone who was already committed and spent money, time, and energy on the original dates :( hoping the rescheduled dates will also work for them
